At lunch yesterday with two of my friends, we went At lunch yesterday with two of my friends, we went around and each shared what went well — or better than expected — over the past year (I live for end of year reflection questions! 🤓).

Here’s what I shared…

The biggest growth I’ve seen in myself in the past year is in my resilience as a mom. Looking back, I realized how much I struggled with the loss of control that comes when you become a mother. This little being — you can’t control when they sleep, when they cry, when they get sick. They are on their own little journey, and you just have to learn to roll with it.

It took me a while to find my footing and figure out how to feel grounded and joyful as a mom, even when things with Charlotte were always changing and always unknown.

And at about 1.5 years in, I finally started to see my resilience strengthen. I started to be able to breathe through the ups and downs and ‘well this is TOTALLY not how I thought it would go’ moments that happened so often. I started to believe that we would get through anything and could find joy even in the chaos.

I share this for a couple of reasons:

✨As a reminder that sometimes we just need more time. Time to get clarity. Time to strengthen. Time to learn and grow. I just needed more time under my belt to get to this point. Be patient with yourself. You are growing every day and in a year from now you’ll be experiencing your life, your business, motherhood so differently.

✨The quality of RESILIENCE is so key. Life, business, everything — is always so up and down and as much as we *think* we have control, we don’t. Honing your resilience allows you to experience the wild ride of life, motherhood and entrepreneurship, with as much calm and confidence as possible. AND it opens up the space to also experience as much JOY as possible, even in the mess. Investing in anything that adds to your resilience is so worth it.

I would love to hear — what is something that went well — or better than expected — for you in the past year? In life? In business? 😘
I had a returning client say to me today — every I had a returning client say to me today — every time you have evolved and pivoted your business, it’s been exactly what I’ve needed next. ✨

It made me so happy to hear that, because honestly, shifting and evolving your business can feel really scary.

Am I just confusing people?
What will people think?
Will this new angle work?

But in my experience, shifting is crucial to keep you feeling connected to and in a joyful relationship with your business. It takes work and effort to get there, but in my opinion, it’s always been so worth it.

Give this a listen for a little inspiration if you’re considering a pivot. And I’m always here to support you in evolving your business in a way that feels MOST in alignment for who you are today. ❤️❤️
Inspired by conversations I’ve been having with Inspired by conversations I’ve been having with my coach friends and my clients — a little mindset tune-up for you heading into the weekend. Keep doing your thing. You’re doing awesome. You can’t always see what’s going on behind the scenes. 😉💫

Save this to look back on when you need it, and see how you’d show up differently if you let yourself believe it. 💕
