I’m sitting here listening to Beyonce and can I just say, I REALLY need to be listening to so much more Beyonce. I mean I knew she was good, but I guess I didn’t realize she was this good (I am clueless when it comes to pop culture). Every single song that comes on is just better than the last. You know??
Okay, I just needed to get that out.
Anywho, on to today’s topic!
The other day I was working with one of the women who I do business coaching for, and she was majorly… STUCK. She called me practically in tears, so frustrated with a project she was working on. It wasn’t flowing. It didn’t feel right. She kept second guessing every single part of it. She was going over and over the content and it just wasn’t making sense to her.
She was hitting her head against a wall and felt completely defeated, frustrated and helpless.
I told her a phrase that I consistently say to myself when I get in these situations, and the action I then take, that turns everything around for me and helps me get through these moments with more ease.
This little phrase majorly helped me in the past 6 months. It’s something I used a lot when I was traveling at the beginning of the year. When traveling, there were some moments that were so stressful – figuring out how to get around a foreign country with very little English, managing 1,000 logistics at once, and doing it all alone.
There were moments when I could feel the stress starting to take over my body – furrowed brow, hunched shoulders, tight chest, knot in my stomach – and rather than pushing through the feeling, I developed this little mantra and practice that turned things around for me.
I now use this all the time in my business.
