If we haven't met yet, I'm Jamie. After way too many years of 'getting by' with a mediocre relationship with myself, I finally learned how to actually become my own best friend, and it changed my life.
Nobody ever teaches us these things:
- how to actually care for our ever-changing emotions and handle the tough feelings.
- how to take care of our *minds* and not be taken down by our inner critic every two seconds.
- how to have an intuitive, fun and free relationship with food
- how to treasure our bodies instead of pick them apart
- how to live in a way that truly LIGHTS US UP
So, probably much like you, I found myself in my mid-twenties with a pretty shallow relationship with myself.
Not knowing how to handle my emotions led to emotional eating and lashing out at my partner.
Not knowing how to work with my inner critic and all the voices in my head led to holding myself back in my work and relationships, and constantly feeling insecure and "not good enough".
Not being connected to my soul, my desires and what truly lit me up led me to create a life that felt flat, unfulfilling and just "wrong".
I saw other women who honored themselves -- with everything from how they ate to how they made decisions -- and seemed to live from a place of "I love myself", and I deeply craved that.
I craved that beautiful, loving, compassionate, "I have your back, always" relationship with myself so badly.
Through years of diving into self-development, I finally started piecing it all together. I learned:
- how to go inward and BE with all the parts of me -- the scared parts, the angry parts, the parts that so desperately needed a voice
- so many tools around how to care for my emotions in beautiful, healthy ways which helped me feel like I could handle ANYTHING that came my way
- how to separate my inner critic voice from my truth, so I could live boldly from the truth of who I really am and stop holding myself back
- how to love my insecurities and all parts of who I am so I could show up with more confidence in the world
- how to tune into my intuition, in every scenario
- how to tap into the fire of my desires and live my life guided from THAT place
Living from the "inside-out" like this -- has helped me create a life I'm so proud of.
