Join The Good Life Holiday Challenge

Hi there!

I have something really special for you today. Many of you have asked me for some sort of holiday program and I totally get it — the holidays can be rough. There’s food everywhere, we’re not operating on our normal schedules, and with so many big family functions, there’s a lot that’s outside of our control.

I used to spend the holidays going between overeating, beating myself up, and simultaneously figuring out how the hell I was going to lose 25 pounds in the New Year.

I used to come up with the same resolution every year: to lose weight.

And it never worked. In fact, it wasn’t until the year that my resolution didn’t have to do with losing weight that I actually DID lose the weight.

Here’s why:

When we diet, we rely on willpower. And willpower exists in our heads. If we only had brains, it would be really easy to diet.

But we don’t only have brains. We also have feelings, we have beliefs, we have desires, we have emotions, and we have human needs.

We want to relax. We want to have fun. We want to feel loved. We want to feel fully expressed. We want to feel connection. We want to feel like we belong. We want to feel comfortable. We want to feel accepted. We want to feel safe. We want to feel at home in our bodies. We want to feel adventurous. We want to feel sexy. We want to feel calm.

And when we don’t, we turn to food. At least I do, and I’m guessing if you are reading this, you probably do too.

And that’s why I’m so happy to be offering you my carefully designed (and totally free) Good Life Holiday Challenge which will take you from Thanksgiving to New Years.

In this holiday challenge, I’m not going to tell you to go brush your teeth after dinner so that you don’t eat dessert. I’m not going to tell you to run 3 miles every morning and “just do it”. I’m not going to tell you to go for the green beans instead of the stuffing.

Because that’s no fun, it’s not realistic, and I don’t believe that it’s really living.

In this challenge I am going to help you get what you actually need. I’m going to help you feel relaxed, calm, and organized. I’m going to help you honor your body instead of battle against it. I’m going to help you feel loved and connected with others. I’m going to help you enjoy every second of the holiday season.

And that’s how you prevent yourself from bingeing on pie. It comes from a deep place of happiness instead of a mental place of willpower.

So if you’re game, then I hope you sign up.

Click here to join and tell your friends, too.  We’re all going to approach this Holiday Season a little different this year. No counting calories. No filling up on salad and water.

  1. I guess I’m most concerned about bingeing on ever-present food to the point that I feel gross. Not gross in terms of guilt but in terms of physically feeling unwell. I hate that feeling, and I want to just be able to eat without pushing myself to that point.

  2. Howdy would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m going to start my own blog soon but I’m having a difficult time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution
and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S Sorry for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

  3. Your style is so unique compared to other people I’ve read
stuff from. Many thanks for posting when you’ve
got the opportunity, Guess I will just bookmark this page.

  4. Hey there! I know this is kinda off topic however , I’d figured I’d ask.
Would you be interested in exchanging links or maybe guest
authoring a blog article or vice-versa? My site covers a lot of the same
subjects as yours and I believe we could greatly benefit from each other.
If you happen to be interested feel free to send me an e-mail.
I look forward to hearing from you! Excellent blog by the
    way!

  5. My brother suggested I might like this web site. He was once
entirely right. This put up truly made my day. You cann’t believe just how so much time
I had spent for this info! Thank you!

  6. You’re so awesome! I do not suppose I have read through something like
that before. So nice to discover somebody with some original thoughts on this subject.
Really.. many thanks for starting this up. This site is something that is needed on the web, someone with a bit of originality!
